CMDP Release Notes (1.11.1) for Production

ENHANCEMENTS

Method Code / Name logic updated based on Primacy Agency feedback.  The following scenarios are supported for XML submission to the CMDP:

  • PA enters valid Method Code and leaves Method Name tag (methodName) blank
    • CMDP will pick the first value from the duplicate Method Name list associated to the Method Code.
  • PA enters an incorrect Method Name (misspelling, etc..)
    • CMDP will pick the first value from the duplicate Method Name list associated to the Method Code.
  • PA enters a valid Method Name
    • CMDP will look to see if Method Code value is populated.
      • if Method Code value is not populated, the sample is rejected as Method Code is required by the CMDP.
      • if Method Code value is populated, the CMDP will check to see if the Method Code and Method Name pairing is valid in CMDP database.
        • if the entered pairing is NOT valid for the analyte, the CMDP will use the Method Code value to identify the Method Code and Method Name pairing associated to the analyte from the CMDP database.
        • If the entered pairing is valid for the analyte, the CMDP will save the Method Code and Method Name entered in the XML file.
  • PA enters an invalid Method Code
    • Irrespective of the value in Method Name tag, the CMDP will throw an exception during the XML upload process.
  • If <Method_Name> has a value, <Method_Code> is required
    • The opposite is NOT true: If <Method_Code> has a value, no validation for <Method_Name>
